Thrift Shop

It's time for my favorite subject again! This Saturday, me and my sister visited two thrift shops in the Dutch village Katwijk, which were new to us. We had a fun day nosing around and spotting some nice items for our homes! Today I made some pictures of my new found treasures... I'm especially excited about the vintage clock from the eighties (I've been told by the owner of the thrift shop). The little glass vase I bought because of the shape, simple but pretty!

I actually was already "done" and just wandering around when I spotted the big record case. The original purpose of these cases is to store all your records but I think they are great for keeping all kinds of craft materials and inspiration. The little white vase on the last picture I found hidden under a layer of dust, lucky me! My sister had a great score as well so it was a good day!

Today's Crush: The home of Hannah Wessman

I stumbled upon this fresh & colourful home via From The Right Bank & immediately fell in love with the style of the Swedish Hannah Wessman! Hannah is the host of the Swedish "Extreme Homemakeover" and it's obvious she know's what she's doing... I love the mix of modern design with vintage and the splashes of colour she uses in her home. I especially adore the peach wall. I'll keep it in my mind for my next colour burst! You can follow Hannah Wessman here!

A Happy Home: New Workspace

I decided to change my workspace from the attic to our guest room. It's a lot smaller but much more cozy & warm! Our attic is perfect for working on Diy projects, crafting, painting and storing my collected ceramics, fabrics and much more. But lately I didn't feel like going up there as much as I used to. So why not replace my home office to another room as long as we have the space! Of course this gave me an excuse to restyle the room! Together with Evert I made a desk out of OSB boards & we used the same wood for the small wall cabinet. The Ikea Brakig wallpaper came in handy with this project, I love the subtle pattern! I'm very happy with the fresh look of my new workspace & I'm sure I'll enjoy working on my blog here...
